Miami Heat x GTA 6 Partnership Brings ‘A Night in Vice City’ on Nov 18

It’s official; the Miami Heat will play as Vice City on November 18, 2026, a day before GTA 6 releases globally. The match will take place at 7:00 PM ET at the Kaseya Center with the Milwaukee Bucks. The event is called “A Night in Vice City” and will be available to watch and hear on ESPN, WPLG Local 10 and FM 104.3 WQAM.

Why the November 18 GTA 6 Miami Heat deal is bigger than a theme

The November 18 match was already scheduled before the theme was announced. Also, it’s the first time Giannis Antetokounmpo faces the Bucks as a Heat player, after his trade to Miami.

He later returns to Milwaukee on January 28, 2027. The big news is the Heat are representing one of their biggest regular-season matches as Vice City.

Opening Night comes first.

The Miami Heat opens its season on October 21 vs. the Timberwolves at 7:30 PM ET, which marks the official debut of Giannis on the team.

The Heat mentions special Vice City activities to start on the opening night itself.

The Vice City collection prices from the Heat Store

Here are all the items mentioned on Miami Heat’s official store website along with their latest prices.

The Pool Service T-shirt on the website shows an alligator in a pool with a basketball and the tagline “Leonida’s Finest!” The store’s header now shows a stylised “VI” mark just beside the Heat logo.

The uniform that’s in the news everywhere has not been revealed yet. We’ll update the uniform details as soon as Heat reveals it on their website.

Heat has done “Vice” before

Miami Vice’s look was inspired by the 1980s TV show, not the Vice City game. The original “Vice” uniform made its debut in January 2018 in laser fuchsia and blue colors, taking inspiration from the Heat’s 1988 silhouette.

“Vice Nights” with a matchmaking court followed the trend in 2018-19, and “Vice Wave” in 2019-20 with its own court.

This is the first time the court theme will be based on GTA 6, and the team is also renamed.

How Miami’s GTA 6 marketing got here

• August 28: Miami-Dade confirmed their discussion with Rockstar for a GTA 6 marketing partnership.
• September 18: County commissioners raised their concerns about the “Welcome to Vice City” deal.
• September 22: The rooftop sign was successfully installed on Kaseya Center. The deal is reported to be $975,000, according to IGN India.
• October 2: The Heat announced the November 18, 2026, game in partnership with Rockstar Games.

Documents verified by IGN say the sign stays for the later of one year after the day of installation or until Heat’s last home game of the 2026-2027 season, scheduled for April 11, 2027.

The document also mentions October 15 as the deadline for the sign installation, but it was installed on September 22 only. IGN suggests the October 15 date might be big for the GTA 6 marketing campaign, as it’s Thursday, but it’s not confirmed news anyway.
