New Statement From Take-Two on GTA 6 PC and GTA Online is Out

Take-Two released a statement at its annual stockholders meeting on September 17, 2026, which led to the GTA 6 PC version. They didn’t reveal an exact release date but did mention PC becoming more important to the company and also confirmed its support for GTA Online after the Grand Theft Auto 6 launch.

During Take-Two’s annual stockholders meeting, the company addressed their upcoming PC releases. The meeting took place on September 17, 2026, at 9:00 AM ET as a virtual webcast via the Take-Two events page.

Take-Two said its general strategy over time is to launch on any platform that has its audience. They added that this isn’t always the case, as sometimes they might change the strategy if platforms are no longer viable.

Talking about PC, the company said the platform is becoming “more and more important to our company over time.” The same statement was reported by Inven Global, as an answer to one of the shareholders’ questions about the PC launch asked to Strauss Zelnick (Take-Two’s CEO).

To be honest, that answer was about the company’s strategy. There was no mention of GTA 6 PC or a particular release date or window for it. According to the company’s August earnings release, the platforms for GTA VI are mentioned as PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a November 19, 2026, release date (Take-Two Q1 fiscal 2027 results).

GTA 6 is single-player, and GTA Online continues

Take-Two said, “GTA 6 is a single-player title and is due to be released this November.” The company further added that they’ll continue to support GTA Online after the GTA 6 release, via Gamerant.

Zelnick also addressed the monetization of GTA 6 on PS5 and Xbox. He said that as GTA 6 releases as a single-player game on two of the biggest platforms, Take-Two is expecting no recurrent spending from the players. He also said the upcoming title will be available in 13 different languages at the time of its launch.
