Fact-Checking Policy

GTA VI is one of the most rumor-heavy topics in gaming right now. This page explains, specifically, how we decide what to publish and how we label it.

Our Three-Step Verification Process for GTA VI News

1. Official channels first — We check any claim against Rockstar Games’ own statements, trailers, and official social/press channels. If Rockstar has confirmed it, we report it as confirmed.
2. Known leaker/insider track record — If it’s not officially confirmed but is circulating from a specific leaker or insider, we weigh it based on that source’s history of past accuracy — not simply how many people are sharing it.
3. Corroboration from established outlets — If a claim can’t be checked against either of the above, we hold off on reporting it as news until it’s been independently corroborated by an established, reputable gaming outlet. If we do cover it earlier than that, it’s explicitly labeled as an unconfirmed rumor, not presented as fact.

Labeling

We use plain labels so readers always know what they’re reading:

• Confirmed — officially verified by Rockstar or another primary source
• Reported — sourced from a credible outlet or track-recorded insider, not yet officially confirmed
• Rumor/Unconfirmed — circulating claims that don’t yet meet either bar above
